Easy Tuna Dumplings

Give your family good fortune by swapping in our Light Tuna in Olive Oil when preparing these easy, lip-smacking appetizers!


2 cans (85 g each) or 1 can (142 g) CLOVER LEAF® Solid Light Tuna – Olive Oil or Flaked Light Tuna in Olive Oil
2-3 Shiitake mushrooms (finely chopped)
1/2 cup (125 mL) napa cabbage (finely chopped)
1 sprig green onion (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp (5 mL) white pepper
2 eggs
1 packet pre-packaged dumpling (pot stickers or ) wrappers
1 bowl water


  1. Mix all the ingredients together except for the wrappers to make the filling.
  2. Place a dumpling wrapper on your palm, spoon about ½ tbsp of filling onto the wrapper. Dab water around the edge of the dumpling wrapper and seal the ends by folding into half.
  3. For a healthier version, cook dumpling in boiling water. When dumplings start to float to the top, they’re done and are ready to eat. Alternatively, pan fry on both sides for 10 minutes for crispier texture.
  4. Serve as is or with your favourite dipping sauce.


  • In step #3, when frying, add 2 tbsp water and cover with a lid.
