Creamy Crab and Asparagus Linguine

Savour the sweet, light taste of Crab Delectables™ in this creamy, lemon-scented pasta dish with fresh asparagus and yellow peppers.


8 oz (250 g) uncooked linguine
1 tbsp (15 mL) oil
1 cup (250 mL) finely chopped shallots
1/2 cup (125 mL) sliced yellow sweet pepper
1 lb (500 g) asparagus, cut into 2-inch (5 cm) pieces
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup (125 mL) each: white wine, chicken broth (or all broth)
1 pkg (250 g) cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp (15 mL) finely grated lemon rind
1 pkg (227 g) Clover Leaf Crab Delectables™, Flake Style or Leg Style, chopped into very fine strips like shreds
1/2 cup (125 mL) grated Parmesan cheese


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add shallots, sweet pepper and asparagus. Cook, stirring for 3 to 5 minutes, until vegetables are tender crisp.
  3. Stir in garlic; cook 1 minute.
  4. Add wine, broth, cream cheese and lemon rind. Cook, stirring, until smooth and bubbly.
  5. Stir in drained linguine and Crab Delectables™. Toss until well coated with sauce. Sprinkle in cheese.
  6. Serve immediately.
