Pizza With Tuna Crust

Nothing beats a warm crust when stuffed with tuna and topped with tomato, cheese, olives and basil.


1 can (170g) Clover Leaf® Solid or Flaked White Albacore Tuna, drained
1 cup Almond flour
1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded. low sodium
1 Egg, large
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp Baking powder
½ tsp Sea salt
½ tsp Garlic powder
⅓ cup Tomato sauce
½ cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded. low sodium
¼ cup Black olives
2 tbsp Basil, chopped
½ tsp Red pepper flakes, optional


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. For the crust, microwave mozzarella for 45-60 seconds until melted. Stir well.
  3. To the melted cheese, add tuna, almond flour, egg, baking powder and seasoning. Mix until incorporated.
  4. Form dough into a ball and place between 2 large pieces of parchment paper.
  5. Use a rolling pin to roll dough into a ¼ inch thick pizza crust.
  6. Remove top piece of parchment paper and use a fork to poke holes in the pizza crust.
  7. Move crust, still on the bottom parchment paper, to a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven, flip crust over and top with tomato sauce, mozzarella and olives then cook for another 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven, cut into 6-8 slices and top with basil and red pepper flakes (optional).
