Wasabi-Ginger Tuna Salad

Looking for a salad with an oriental kick? Try this over iceberg lettuce. Remember to adjust the wasabi according to your heat standards.

Ingredients

1/4 cup (50 mL)
light mayonnaise
1/4 cup (50 mL)
Fat Free or 2% Plain Yogurt
1 tbsp (15 mL)
minced pickled ginger
1 tbsp (15 mL)
wasabi powder
1
green apple, cored and chopped
2 tbsp (30 mL)
chopped parsley
2 pouches (85 g each)

salt
2-3 slices of apple, garnish

Preparation

  1. In large bowl, combine mayonnaise with yogourt, ginger, wasabi, apple and parsley. Stir tuna into mayonnaise mixture until evenly combined.
  2. Taste and season with salt. Serve as a sandwich filling or as part of a salad plate. Garnish with apple slices.
