Good For You. Good For Us All.

A lot has been written recently about the health benefits of eating seafood. For over 100 years, we’ve been feeding Canada’s hunger for more healthy food. But our commitment doesn’t stop there.

We have not only set the standard in quality seafood but have also committed to leading the way in preserving the world’s aquatic resources. Responsible fishing practices and management of the fisheries from which we obtain our seafood, is not only important to the environment and our consumers, but is a key driver in how we conduct business around the globe.

At the heart of these efforts in tuna fisheries management is the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF), a global partnership among leaders in science, the tuna industry, and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization.

ISSF’s mission is to undertake science-based initiatives for –
• the long-term sustainability of tuna stocks,
• reduction of by catch,
• reduction of illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing, and
• promotion of ecosystem health.

As a proud founder of ISSF, we are at the forefront of seafood sustainability and are committed to the effective management of ocean resources for generations to come.

Earth Day Canada – April 22nd

In addition to sustaining the global fisheries from which we source, Clover Leaf is also committed to conserving resources by reducing the environmental impact of our operations, packaging and supply chain of our products.

Closer to home, Earth Day Canada celebrates and supports environmental initiatives year-round. More than 6 million Canadians join 1 billion people in over 170 countries in staging events and projects to address local environmental issues, according to earthday.ca.

Earth Day Canada will be held on April 22nd. See how your daily actions can help the environment, here.
