Salmon Pizza Margherita

Take a culinary journey to Italy with this traditional Margherita-style pizza, made heartier with the addition of our Low Sodium Pink Salmon.

Ingredients

1-12 inches
Italian bread shell for pizza crust, pre-baked
1 tsp (5 mL)
olive oil
1 tsp (5 mL)
Italian seasoning blend
2 cans (213g each)
Clover Leaf Low Sodium Pink Salmon, drained and flaked (remove skin & bones as desired)
2
medium sized tomatoes, sliced ¼” thick
6 slices
fresh mozzarella
½ cup (125 mL)
fresh basil leaves
1 cup (250 mL)
shredded Parmesan cheese

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.   Place pizza shell on lined baking sheet, brush with olive oil.  
  2. Sprinkle Italian seasonings on flaked salmon to coat.  
  3. Place seasoned salmon, tomatoes, mozzarella and basil evenly around pizza crust. Top with parmesan cheese.  
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheeses are melted, and pizza is heated through.  
  5. Serve with crushed red pepper and grated Parmesan cheese as desired.  
  6. Makes 8 slices.

Tip:

  • This recipe works well with either our Skinless Boneless Pink or Skinless Boneless Sockeye Salmon – no skin & no bones to remove!
