A delicious and easy way to add omega-3's to your pizza! Not to mention calcium, vitamin D, iron …

Ingredients

2 (12 inch)
prepared pizza crusts
1/2 tsp (2 mL)
dried oregano or 1 tsp chopped fresh oregano
1 can (8 oz)
tomato sauce
1 1/2 - 2 cups (375- 500 mL)
mozzarella cheese
2 cans (106 g each)
Clover Leaf Brisling Sardines-Mediterranean, drained
1/2 cup (125 mL)
sliced black olives
2 tbsp (30 mL)
sliced roasted red bell peppers
grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Preparation

  1. Spread tomato sauce evenly over pizza crusts.
  2. Grate or slice mozzarella and layer on top of sauce.
  3. Arrange sardines in single layer on pizza.
  4. Bake in 425° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
  5. Remove and arrange olives and bell pepper on pizza. Sprinkle with oregano and Parmesan cheese and return to oven.
  6. Bake another 5 to 10 minutes, until crust is crisp.
  7. Remove. Cut into wedges and serve at once.
