Asian Tuna Tacos

Pack these fresh and flavourful tacos for a tasty lunch or prepare them for a quick and wholesome weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

2 small whole wheat tortillas
1 can (85 g) CLOVER LEAF® Flaked Light Tuna - Lemon & Ginger with Sesame
1/2 cup (125 mL) lightly packed shredded purple cabbage
1/4 cup (60 mL) thinly sliced red pepper
2 tbsp (30 mL) shaved red onion
2 tbsp (30 mL) cilantro leaves or parsley (optional)
1 lime wedge
2 tbsp (30 mL) mild or spicy thick & chunky salsa (prepared)

PREP INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In skillet, heat tortillas for about 1 minute or until warmed and pliable; transfer to plate. 
  2. Divide tuna, cabbage, red pepper, onion, and cilantro (if using) equally among tortillas. Serve with lime wedge and salsa.
Tips:  
  • Substitute prepared shredded coleslaw blend for purple cabbage if desired.  
  • Serve on corn tortillas for an authentic and gluten-free alternative to flour tortillas.
