Nourishing Lifestyles

Clover Leaf Promotes Healthy and Sustainable Lifestyles for Consumers.

Clover Leaf’s core seafood products are an excellent and affordable source of protein, nutrients and Omega-3 fatty acids. The healthy profile of our product portfolio affords Clover Leaf a strong basis from which to support and encourage healthy consumer lifestyles.

Our commitment to healthy lifestyles is evident in Clover Leaf’s Reinvent Fast Food program with our “Take 5” recipes. 5 ingredients can make a great tasting meals in 5 minutes, encouraging healthier alternatives to fast food.

Clover Leaf is proud to support the Nutrition Facts Education Campaign, a collaboration between Heath Canada and the Food & Consumer Products of Canada. The initiative is a broad-based campaign launched in October 2010 to help Canadians to better understand and use the Nutrition Facts table (NFT), particularly the % Daily Value on pre-packaged food to make informed food choices.

Consistent with our commitment to healthier products, over the past three years Clover Leaf reduced the sodium levels across our core tuna, shrimp, and clams, while maintaining the great taste consumers expect from our products. Plans are in place to reduce the sodium in our salmon products starting this year.

In addition, we offer a full line of low sodium products including low sodium albacore tuna, low sodium skipjack tuna, low sodium sockeye salmon, low sodium pink salmon, and no sodium added to Brunswick sardines in water.

Clover Leaf salad kits are great snacks with less than 200 calories, and our flavoured tuna line up offering snacks with less than 100 calories for several flavours.

In 2011, Clover Leaf supported community efforts like The Boys & Girls Club of Saint John, and encouraging people to get active in the Mississauga marathon, the bicycle Tour for Kids, and The Ride to Conquer Cancer bike race in Montreal.
