Asian Tuna Meatballs Ingredients
| 2 cans (85 g each) | Clover Leaf Flaked Light Tuna - Tomato & Onion |
| 1 | egg, lightly beaten |
| 1 | chopped green onion |
| 1 | clove garlic, minced |
| 1/2 cup (125 mL) | cooked rice, cold |
| 2 tbsp (30 mL) | fine breadcrumbs |
| 2 tsp (10 mL) | soy sauce |
| ½ tsp (2 mL) | sesame oil |
| zest of a lemon | |
| 1 tsp (5 mL) | finely chopped fresh ginger |
| salt and pepper to taste |
Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Check the seasoning. Shape into 1 inch (2.5 cm) balls.
- In a lightly oiled non-stick heated skillet, cook the tuna meatballs over medium heat, turning often, until completely browned.
- Serve with plum sauce for dipping.
Tip: For a truly Asian meal, serve with a blend of oriental green salad.
