This very simple appetizer is a surprise since it so easy and tasty to prepare and a surprise for your guests when they cut into it.

Shrimp Spread Ingredients

1 pkg (250 g) light cream cheese
3/4 cup (175 mL) salsa
1 can (106 g) Clover Leaf Small or Medium Shrimp, drained

Preparation

  1. Cut the block of cream cheese in half horizontally; place the cheese slabs side by side or end to end on microwaveable serving plate. Microwave on low for approximately 2 minutes or until slightly softened.
  2. Spread salsa over top, allowing it to run over sides of cheese.
  3. Arrange shrimp on top, pressing into salsa.
  4. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.
  5. TIP:
    Stand the cold block of cheese on it's end and slice in half with sharp knife.
