Cajun Crab Rice

A delicious all-in-one skillet meal hailing that Southern flavour; so easy to prepare for a week day meal and even short notice dinner guests.

Ingredients

1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
1 cup (250 mL) chopped onion
1/2 red pepper, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 pkg (227 g) Clover Leaf Crab Delectables™, flake style
1/4 cup (50 mL) bottled Cajun marinade
1 small tomato, diced
1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) ground red pepper (optional)
1 cup (250 mL) instant white rice
1 cup (250 mL) water

PREP INSTRUCTIONS

In a large skillet, heat oil on medium-high heat. Add onion and peppers. Cook and stir 5 minutes until tender. Stir in all other ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
